Each Classic Softcover Photo Book features durable perfect binding, meaning pages are securely glued at the spine for a clean, professional finish. While perfect binding creates a sleek look, it’s worth noting that—unlike layflat books—there may be slight image loss in the center gutter. This makes the format especially well-suited for layouts with margins or text-forward designs. The matte softcover, approximately 1/4 mm thick, adds to the book’s casual, contemporary appeal.

With a minimum of 20 pages and up to 200 pages, there’s plenty of room to tell your story your way—and there’s no limit to how many photos you can place on a page or spread. For designers, photographers, and self-publishers, proper setup is key. Covers require a .125-inch bleed on all outer sides (excluding the spine), and inside pages are trimmed approximately .125 inches on all sides, so important details should be kept safely away from the edges. Page and spine dimensions vary by page count, and the easiest way to confirm sizing is to start a project in the Printique builder and check dimensions directly in the properties panel.
