Instagram PixStoryteller – Natalie Amrossi

Every photographer has a story to tell of how they capture the magic they see before them. We are celebrating this with our  Instagram PixStorytellers. Each week, a new photographer will join us on Instagram sharing their ideas, tips, and tricks for getting the best shot. This week we introduce you to Natalie Amrossi aka Misshattan on Instagram.

How did you start in photography?

I started photography at a very young age. As a kid, I loved film photography. Nothing excited me more than the process of developing film and seeing the images come to life. Once I got my hands on a digital camera, I found myself taking pictures of absolutely everything. Photography started as a passion project to now my career.

How did find your groove?

My groove constantly evolves as a freelance photographer. I guess I could say that I don’t have a typical day to day routine. Every day is different. One thing I know is that I would not be able to survive without having an organized calendar. I have everything from photo shoots, meetings, calls and even tasks planned ahead so no time gets wasted.

What’s in your camera bag?

What I usually carry in my camera bag is a Canon 5D Mark IV, 24-70 lens, 16-35mm lens and 70-200mm lens. If I want to travel lightly, I’ll just take the Mark IV and 24-70 lens, leaving my camera bag behind.

Any advice for those photographers just starting out?

My advice for others who are starting out is to keep shooting as much as you can and never be afraid to push your creative limits. With time, you will find your style of photography.
